The Gospel of Grace

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].

Hebrews 4:16 AMP

The invented human faith that places all confidence and attention on human activity is called humanism.

If you think humans can solve all of their own problems, you have become an adherent of that false religion. You see the ultra-rich and those in political power often falling for that deception.

The truth is that true faith is a gift from God. It does not originate from human nature. God is the source of life and the Creator of everything in the universe. He initiated Creation according to the counsel of His will.

He said, “Let there be light.”

And there was light.

He said, “Let us make man in our own image and likeness.”

And Adam was formed and became a living soul.

God is all-powerful. We are limited, finite creatures. Everything in our lives belongs to God. This planet we live on, our bodies, our souls, our struggles, our victories, our possessions and our debts all are under God’s power and authority.

It would stand to reason that we go to God for the answers and He has readily made them available. You can read about God’s plan and purpose in the Bible.

How did people know God before the Bible was available? God made Himself known. Prayer has always been the way we connect intimately with God.

God has made Himself known. He initiates the redemptive process of salvation and sanctification. He chooses us before we are even aware that He is in control.

The Good News is that God is good. When we read the Bible and search our souls, we quickly become aware of how far we miss the mark, how far we fall short of God’s glory. We were created to be like God in regards to love and character. How godly are we? How worldly are we? How dreadfully sinful are we?

Glory to God that He sent His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, to be the Savior of the world. He came to rescue sinners. Believe in Jesus as Messiah and Lord and enter into eternal life.

Grace is unmerited favor. It’s undeserved. It runs counter to what one would expect. Grace saves the day. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, what you’ve said, what you thought in your heart, the blood of Jesus erases all the charges against you. Do you believe that? Ask God to help you fully comprehend what that means.

It means you’re free. Free from fear of judgment. Free from condemnation. Free from guilt or shame. We are justified by faith and live by faith. The human mind cannot comprehend the things of God, they are understood by the spirit. If you can understand the grace of God and live in the freedom it affords, that means you’re saved and chosen by God to inherit His eternal Kingdom.

That’s Good News. We didn’t do anything to deserve His grace. There’s nothing we can do to earn it. We simply receive it. That truth radically changes our hearts. We don’t have to perform our way into God’s good grace. Jesus made a way. Jesus is the way.

May the Lord lighten your load today. May you understand the power of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. May you know the grace of God and extend it to others. May God bless your soul and may you yield to His control. Be blessed in the Beloved. Amen.
