There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven —
A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.

The Lord says, “I have given you opportunity to take stock of your lives and see what the fruit of your ways is. Is it not obvious that apart from Me you can do nothing? Have nothing to do with the fruitless works of darkness. All things are in My hands, even the very days of your lives. Give to Me what belongs to Me and I will supply all your need.”
The Lord knows we’re in a pandemic. The Lord knows that He can heal anyone He so desires. Yet, people refuse to turn from their wicked ways and to seek His face and be healed.
Modern medicine is certainly a gift from God but it is not the source of healing. God is our source. Medicine simply unlocks our bodies’ natural ability to heal itself. Our bodies want to live. Our souls want to live. We were created to live. Are we living? What are we living for?
We were created in the image of God. We are meant to bear the image of God. We are called to follow God and become Christlike. That is the chief end of man.
Because of sin, we are under a curse of death. The only way to break the curse, the only way to destroy the power of the evil one, is to turn to God, to repent of our sin and believe in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice.
God wants to heal us. He wants to close the gap between us and Him. We will never get there if we each continue to go our own way. Freedom is found in sacrifice. It’s a paradox. You must die to yourself, your ego, your selfish agenda, in order to truly live.
Our country is founded on independence as an ideal. Independent from God, we’re all destined to die and suffer what we deserve for our rebellion. Selfishness is not the answer. We must think of the needs of others. We must pull together and become one with Christ Jesus as the Head.
The wicked will grow more wicked. The righteous will grow more righteous. The false brethren will be exposed as powerless fools and liars. They have a form of godliness, but they deny God’s power and remain unregenerate.
This is the time for the true Church to arise in power and glory. The first fruits are already starting to appear. Walk in holiness. Be set apart for service unto God. Follow the teachings of Christ. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge God. And He will make straight your path.
God is on the move. He is not idle. He is tearing down the vain imaginations of worldly men and women. He is making it plain that time is short. You can bury your head in the sand and refuse to see. Or you can humble yourself and pray.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. We will honor God with the first fruits of all our gain. We will give God the glory as we humbly submit to His will and His way.
There is freedom in surrender. We serve the risen King. The Lord is our God forever. And forever we are free in Him. Free to live. Free to laugh. Free to heal. Free to sing. God has chosen us to know His Son and the fellowship of His suffering. Do not take lightly the gift of God and the inheritance of the saints.
God, You reign forever and we wait for Your appearing. Give us grace as we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. All of our faith, all of our trust, is in You, not the work of our hands or the things of this world. What is seen disappears. God’s Word endures forever. Be healed in the Name of Jesus and may your faith be made complete. Amen.
