Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth;
Isaiah 43:19 NASB1995
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
There’s something new happening. A spark of life. A religion-less move of God. God is bringing His truth to His people through the Holy Spirit straight to their hearts.
No longer do we have to labor in study, searching for wisdom and knowledge. No longer do we fast and pray for days and weeks, hoping to hear a single word from the Lord. Today is the day of alignment with God’s Spirit in the day to day of life.
The separation between sacred and secular is disappearing. God is redeeming the time. Do not be ashamed of the Gospel. Do not be embarrassed by the hope that it brings. Forsake no longer the holy assembly of the saints.
A new day is dawning and it is already here. Love is calling lost children home. There is no program, no formula, no process in play. We are simply loving people right where they’re at, without judgment, without condemnation, without an agenda except for being an unpolluted stream of the Spirit.
Forgive those who have offended you. Forgive those who have hurt you. Forgive those who persecute you unrighteously. They do not know what they do. They do not know who they are persecuting. They are simply under the control of the evil one, lashing out at the only One who can save them even though they can’t see Him.
Given a choice, would you rescue a sinner caught hopelessly in their sin? Would you look beyond appearances and see the hurting and frightened soul who doesn’t know what to do or who to reach out to for help and reassurance? Would you see them as God sees them? Precious in His sight. Desperate for hope. Desperate for a miracle. Desperate for healing. Desperate for deliverance. Desperate for a new identity in Christ.
The Body of Christ is God’s chosen instrument of righteousness in this Earth. There is one Body. Each part has a part to play. No part is better than another. It is one with its Creator. He is the Head, we are the hands and feet. He is the heart and we are learning the steady rhythm of His heartbeat.
Jesus bled and died on a cross to save sinful humanity. Yet, He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He is our victory over sin and the grave. It’s not a theory, it’s not philosophy, it’s the power and truth of God.
It’s becoming apparent who loves God and who loves religion. It’s becoming obvious who loves their neighbors as themselves and who loves religious tradition. This is not a point of judgment but an invitation to freedom.
Being a Christian is not about attending weekly meetings. It’s about walking with God. Day in and day out. When we gather we should be rejoicing about what God is doing through us throughout the week. Not as a point of pride, but out of humble reverence for our King who chooses us to display His glory and power.
Be ready. Be alert. Be kind. Be humble. Be gentle. We are here to serve. We are here to invite others into this amazing life called living by faith.
We are here to encourage. We are here to build up in love. We are here to be witnesses to what God is doing and saying in this season.
Newness of life is upon us. God is preparing His Bride, the Church, for a glorious marriage. One where the two shall become one flesh. God’s Spirit and His Church, united in peace, love and hope, spreading the Good News that salvation is freely available to all those who place their trust in Jesus.
May this Easter season mark the resurrection of His Body. Amen.
