Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
John 14:21 ESV
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
John 15:10 ESV
All of God’s commandments are based on two principles, love and grace. We are meant to become the embodiment of God’s love in an imperfect and fallen world and we are meant to show grace towards those who fail to be perfect.
Our culture is in the midst of a rush to judgment movement. This is caused by the absence of grace filled relationships anchored in love.
If we are hoping to turn the tide, we must fight against the current of toxic, one-way communication and reestablish dialogue with those who are not walking on the road to love and liberty. We won’t change everyone’s mind, but at least give them something to think about.
What is our individual responsibility? What will we be held accountable for? Did we believe? And did we obey?
God commands us to love. If you love, you are obeying. Want to walk in obedience to God? Walk in love.
Love God more than anything else. That will keep your heart and mind free from idolatry. It will guard you against becoming a slave to sin. Freedom and peace of mind are found in resting in God’s Presence.
God commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Are you loving your neighbors unselfishly? Are you seeking what’s best for each other? Then you are walking with God.
God commands us to forgive those who sin against us. He commands us to love our enemies. He commands us to pray for those who persecute us. You see where this is headed right?
God wants us to love everybody. Just like He does. He wants us to refrain from judgment. He waits until we’re dead to judge us, we should show similar patience and long-suffering.
God’s will is that everyone be saved. He wants everyone to have the opportunity to repent of dead works and be made alive by the Holy Spirit of God.
Our job is to love, not judge, not complain, not condemn. If you love God, you will keep His commandments. He commands us to love. If you love God, you will love.
Do you love God? Actions speak louder than words.
If you love Me, you will love your neighbor. And it won’t be difficult. Let Me lead you by your heart and you will see My hand moving in your midst.
It’s time to integrate all areas of your life with what the Spirit is saying. Be ready. Alignment to purpose and calling is coming. Watch. Take notes. And testify. The Spirit is at work in His Church. Praise God. Hallelujah. Amen.
