Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Proverbs 3:5-8 NIV
You know what’s good? My own mental handicap of ADHD is actually a gift. I can’t plan. Nor can I follow a plan. I can’t think linearly. I can’t get from point A to point B without taking the scenic route.
This makes living in a world built for other people instead of me quite difficult. Sometimes I want to throw up my hands and give up. It’s just too hard. I don’t get it and my mind will never change to become like neurotypical people.
But my inability to think like normal people is actually the very thing that helps me. It makes it necessary for me to submit to God and let Him guide me.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the Bible is true and you can rely on everything it says. What’s funny though is that some rely on their understanding of the Bible instead of the Author of the Bible.
The Bible teaches us to follow Jesus. It teaches us to live by the Spirit, not the flesh. This world glorifies the carnal mind and all its imaginations. The Kingdom of God glorifies God.
It’s time to get back to basics. Pray. Seek God’s face. Let God guide you. Let Him give you counsel, instead of the Internet. God is able. God is trustworthy. God is near.
If you know God, He lives inside you. You can maintain a running dialogue throughout the day. What should I do? God will tell you.
It is enough to know Him.
God is all you need. Trust Him with your life. A life spent submitted to God is a life worth living. A life spent enslaved to the economic system of the world, desperately trying to fulfill one’s own selfish desires, is a waste of time. Everything in this world will be destroyed. God’s Kingdom endures forever.
Break free. Leave the world behind. Follow Jesus into Paradise. With Jesus, you don’t need anything to make you happy. You’ll already have joy in your heart.
The joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of my salvation keeps me on the path of eternal life. When I stray from the path, it is like being in hell. The spiritual darkness is suffocating. My soul cries out to God, deliver me from my own foolishness.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. And it will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
God, give us the wisdom to submit to You in everything we do. Amen.
