There is a spirit that opposes the work of the Holy Spirit. It is the spirit of rebellion against God. It is the spirit of witchcraft. It is the spirit of antichrist.
When God opens our eyes to our own fallen nature, it should lead us to repentance. Repentance is turning from our own self-willed ways and submitting to the will of God. When we repent, we change directions. There are outward signs of an inward change.
Once you repent, you should be baptized in water as a sign of your alignment to the will of God. You consciously choose to die to yourself. Someone else holds onto you as you die and are buried in the waters of baptism just as Jesus was buried in the grave.
Someone else raises you up again in newness of life just as the Holy Spirit caused the body of Jesus to rise from the dead. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.
Just as spiritually dead individuals get born again and filled with the Spirit, so God is resurrecting His Holy and Glorious Church. One soul at a time, God is breathing new life into His Body.
The spirit of antichrist wants to stop this inevitable revival. The spirit of religion wants to maintain control and protect the status quo. The enemy has had control over the spiritually dead church, but his days are numbered.
There is a zombie church that talks about God but His Presence is not there. They have an outward form of godliness but they do not let the power of God change their hearts. They are rebellious, conceited and have no power to see people come to Christ, be healed, delivered and baptized in the Holy Spirit.
The zombie church, full of the living dead, will be cut asunder. Those who the Lord has chosen will wake-up and start living to please the Lord. Those who are destined for destruction will refuse the invitation of grace and become even more hardened in heart.
They each will attract those who are of like-mind. The cold and religious will become even more frozen in self-righteousness and inactivity. Those who are on fire for God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit will become even more powerful and fruitful as they join God in His mission.
The wheels of the machine are coming off. Man centered religion is powerless to save and ineffective in serving others. Only complete and total submission to God will yield the fruit of righteousness.
We are saved by grace through faith. That is how we come to know God. We walk in humble obedience to the Lord by grace through the Holy Spirit. That is how we walk with God. To know and walk with God, that is what we were created for.
Our purpose is not out there, somewhere down the road. Our purpose is right now, to live everyday in fellowship and communion with God. The abundant life is life in Christ. Today is the day of salvation.
