So let no one boast in men [about their wisdom, or of having this or that one as a leader]. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas (Peter) or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things are yours, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.
1Co 3:21-23 AMP
Apart from God, we can do nothing. Abiding in Christ, all things are possible. Man, on his own merit, is nothing. Filled with the Spirit, he is still nothing.
The message is important. The messenger isn’t. The message rings true forever that Jesus Christ is Lord. Messengers are disposable. They can be replaced by the next generation.
Don’t confuse the anointing with identity. The anointing comes and goes. The anointing is Christ. You are not the anointing, you are a vessel for it. Christ in you, the hope of glory.
We are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are not the Holy Spirit. We are temple keepers. We are children of God. We are not God.
Worship God alone. Follow God alone. Man is fallible. Man is weak. Man is prone to corruption by sin. God is incorruptible. God is pure. God is holy. Place your trust in God. He alone can save you, heal you, deliver you from the evil one.
God wants us to follow Him, not each other. God wants us to keep His commandments, not man made traditions.
If you want revival, in your own life, in your family, in your church, in your city, you must humble yourself and follow God wholeheartedly. That’s where it begins and ends. God does not move in power to fit man’s agenda. God moves in power when we submit to His leading and pray according to His will or act in obedience to what the Father is doing.
There’s a whole camp of people who call themselves Christians who are not Christians. They are not submitted to God. They do not listen to God. They do not obey God. They have no love, no power, and unsound minds. In a word, they are deceived. They need to wake up. They need to be born again of God’s Spirit.
It is impossible to please God without faith. Faith says that God is our Master. We’re not in charge. God is. Get your marching orders from God, daily. That’s what disciples do. We don’t make up our own plans and pray that God blesses our rebellion. Walk in faith. Walk with God. That is what it means to be a true disciple of Christ.
Do you want to be a disciple? Do you want to be one of many? It begins with prayer. Prayer is communication with God. It’s a dialogue. Be continuously in prayer. God is everywhere. He’s always available. He’s not too busy to listen to you and respond. He loves you. He created you to be His chosen instrument of righteousness. Listen to God when He speaks and obey. Obedience is grace in action. When you obey God, He ministers as He wishes to those He desires to. The burden to perform is on God. We don’t perform, we obey.
Ask God today what He wants you to do. Then, go do it. He will give you the power to accomplish your mission today. And may God bless your day. Amen.
