Worship Your Way To Revival

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courtyards with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting and His faithfulness is to all generations.

Psalms 100:4‭-‬5 NASB2020

Do you want revival? Do you want to see God move in powerful and miraculous ways in your life and the Church? The secret is no secret at all: worship the Lord.

Worship the Lord wholeheartedly. Worship Him with singing. Praise Him with thanksgiving in your heart and on your tongue. Praise Him for all He’s done.

If you can’t be thankful, you’ll have a very difficult time entering the presence of God. Honestly, I think it might be impossible. And I know this world is a cold, dark and unfriendly place, but we don’t identify with the world. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

What does that mean? God’s not worried about anything. Everything belongs to Him and is under His power and authority. Including us. God is the source of all love, truth and joy. And everything good. And we belong to Him. We are in Christ, the Rock of our salvation.

When you understand what God has done for you, miserable creature that you are, undeserving of grace, mercy and freedom, but which have been lavishly poured out on all, that’s something to get excited about.

What gets in the way of our worship? Unconfessed sin. How can you leap for joy when you’re weighed down with many sins? The heart knows its own sorrow. Our countenance reveals our condition.

If you want to turn your life around today, confess your sins to the Lord, get clean and praise His Holy Name. Revival is birthed and sustained in worship. If you study worship enough, you’ll realize our very lives are meant to be a continuous worship of God.

Of all the activities on Earth, the one thing we’ll continue to do in Heaven is praise and worship our King. That’s something to think about. All the other ministries of the Spirit will no longer be needed on the other side of glory. But worship will continue unceasingly.

If that’s what we’ll be doing in Heaven, shouldn’t we be practicing for it today? Worship is an attitude of the heart that expresses itself through our bodies and our words.

I don’t know how many times that I’ve been at the end of my rope, looking at an impossible situation and not knowing what to do or how to proceed. Everytime, I think to myself, I must go worship the Lord with God’s people to take my mind off of my problems. Would you believe, that God supplies the answers while I worship?

When I cease from my labors and get my mind right, that’s when God shows up. One time, I didn’t know what to do, I was stuck. I went to a worship meeting and ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in years. He’s been an integral part of my life ever since. Thank You, God for bringing brother Bill back into my life.

Another time, I didn’t know what to do. I went to the BBQ my home group was having and found out someone had a place where I could live in another city. It was all the blessing of the Lord. Unexpected miracles happen in the presence of the Lord.

Are you facing an impossible situation today? Don’t worry. Just worship. God already knows what you need and will provide it. Keep your head up and praise your way out of the storm. Your circumstances might not change, but your ability to endure with patience and joy will. And really, isn’t that what we all need?

Lord, revive our hearts to worship You. Amen.

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
