Agents of Grace

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Romans 5:1‭-‬5 NLT

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to change the world, one day at a time, one soul at a time. Your teacher is the Holy Spirit and your training manual is the Holy Bible. Everyday, you will be on assignment. You will receive further instructions directly from headquarters, the throne room of God.

Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Like something out of a supernatural secret agent movie. The truth isn’t that far removed.

You need to find your purpose for existence. Mine is serving God and being on mission for Him. Wherever I am, whoever I’m with, there’s one overarching agenda at work all the time: bring the Kingdom.

We’re ambassadors for Christ. Ambassadors are authorized representatives for those who send them in their place. We’re on assignment from the Kingdom of Heaven. Instead of wearing an earpiece to hear from our higher ups, we have a direct link inside our spirits to the Holy Spirit, who speaks to us what He hears from Jesus.

We’ll get through this alright. Sometimes it feels like we’re all alone behind enemy lines surrounded by hostile forces. But never forget this one truth: greater is He that is within you than he who is in the world.

What does that mean? It means the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. That Spirit can vanquish all the forces of darkness with only a word. Peace be still. And it is done.

Align yourself with the explicit will of God and you will become a wrecking crew of light versus the darkness. Pray in the Spirit in all situations. This means let the Holy Spirit inform your spirit of what to pray. He can guide you. He will guide. He is guiding you whether you’re aware of it or not most of the time. If love is in your heart, God is leading you.

We are agents of grace, agents of change. We are a nameless, faceless army of God’s peaceful warriors. Missionaries are on mission. The Church is waking up from her slumber. The fog is lifting. The effects of the sleeping pill called religion are wearing off. Get back in the game. Don’t let the haters distract you. They are powerless to stop you. God is with you. God is in you. Rise up and walk.

Father in Heaven, thank You for revealing Your truth to my heart. Teach me to walk in the wisdom of Your Word, every moment of every day. I trust You, Lord. We place no confidence in the flesh. We know that it is only by Your grace that we live and breathe. We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your grace in our lives so that we can stand in unshakeable faith to bring You glory. We surrender our lives here on Earth to be used by You, to spread the Gospel, do good works, and above all, to make reproducing disciples to complete Your redemptive work of grace. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

John 14:26 NLT
