Teach To Reach

Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority to force evil spirits out of people and to cure every disease and sickness.

Matthew 10:1 GW

“As you go, spread this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Cure the sick, bring the dead back to life, cleanse those with skin diseases, and force demons out of people. Give these things without charging, since you received them without paying.”

Matthew 10:7‭-‬8 GW

“When you go into a city or village, look for people who will listen to you there. Stay with them until you leave ⌞that place⌟. When you go into a house, greet the family. If it is a family that listens to you, allow your greeting to stand. But if it is not receptive, take back your greeting. If anyone doesn’t welcome you or listen to what you say, leave that house or city, and shake its dust off your feet.”

Matthew 10:11‭-‬14 GW

“Indeed, you’re not the ones who will be speaking. The Spirit of your Father will be speaking through you.”

Matthew 10:20 GW

“Tell in the daylight what I say to you in the dark. Shout from the housetops what you hear whispered.”

Matthew 10:27 GW

“So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do everything I have commanded you.

“And remember that I am always with you until the end of time.”

Matthew 28:19‭-‬20 GW

It’s time for the Body of Christ to be obedient for a change. It’s time for the Church to awaken from its soul slumber. It’s time to dust off the Bible and do what it says.

Jesus taught His disciples what to do. He told them to go teach others to do likewise. I believe, if we are faithful disciples of Jesus, we will do the same.

Teaching is meant to equip people to serve in the ministry of Jesus Christ. We are willing vessels for the Lord’s service. Teaching is meant to inspire people to obey the Lord’s instructions from hearts of love, joy and peace.

The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Bitter roots yield bitter fruit. No one’s going to be attracted to that. Roots that are nourished by the Spirit of God, planted in the firm foundation of God’s unfailing love, will yield good fruit in due season.

What’s your next step? What’s God’s will for your life? What’s God’s will for your life today?

Only God knows and the Holy Spirit will tell you, if only you humble yourself and ask with a heart to obey your Father in Heaven.

It’s really that simple. Learn to have conversations with God. Ask questions. Then listen. Wait in silence. God speaks to our hearts with a voice so quiet that it sounds very similar to the thoughts we have in our heads.

What God tells us is true. It lines up with the Spirit of the Word.

Faith, hope and love. That’s what this life is all about. Step out of the old and into the new. The adventure of a lifetime awaits.

Teach people to reach the lost. Teach them to read the Word and obey. Teach them to recognize God’s voice and obey. Continue to encourage each other and love one another. Then the harvest will come in.

Here I am Lord, send me.

“Whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow me doesn’t deserve to be my disciple.”

Matthew 10:38 GW
