Take care, brothers and sisters, that there not be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to trust and rely on the Lord, a heart] that turns away from the living God. But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called “Today” [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication].

Trust in the Lord and do not rely on your own understanding. Rely on the Lord and do not trust in yourself. We are passing away. The world is passing away. Everything will be consumed with fire. What are we doing with the time we have left?
What is your why? What motivates you? What’s worth getting out of bed for in the morning? May I suggest that if it’s not making disciples, your priorities might be out of whack.
God commands us to make disciples. He commands us to love people. The most loving thing you can do for someone is teach them how to obey the Lord.
I was at a revival service yesterday and there was a line outside of people waiting to get into the building before they opened the doors. I left after 4 hours but there were plenty of people still there, hungry for more of the Lord.
When it came time for prayer, the line lasted for 2 hours. People were getting healed and delivered of their demons one after another. I thought to myself, “This is great, but shouldn’t more believers be doing ministry?”
Think about it. If your church isn’t equipping you to do ministry, the Biblical mandate in Ephesians 4, then what are they doing? Probably indoctrinating you into consumer Christianity.
How are we going to reach the world with the Gospel? By training and sending people out into the harvest field. Holding religious meetings that do not empower and equip people might just be playing into the devil’s hand.
I’ve seen too much to waste anymore time on things that don’t work. God is leading His Church into revival. People are repenting of their sinful lifestyles and turning to follow Jesus. People are getting healed, filled with the Holy Spirit and set free from decades of demonic oppression in droves.
No building can contain this revival. No minister can accomplish it himself. This is a sovereign move of God for an appointed hour. Stop wasting time on powerless religion. Stop wasting time on worldly living. Repent and follow Jesus. We’re running out of time to be obedient. Suddenly, it will all be over and we will each individually have to answer to God for what we did with the time we were given.
I don’t want to have to confess that I wasted it on the wrong things. Go and make disciples. Obey the Lord. You’ll be glad you did when it’s all said and done.
God, help us to understand the urgency of our times. Eliminate our false motives and wicked priorities. Turn our hearts back to You. Forgive us and equip us to do Your will. In Christ we pray. Amen.
For we [believers] have become partakers of Christ [sharing in all that the Messiah has for us], if only we hold firm our newborn confidence [which originally led us to Him] until the end, while it is said, “Today [while there is still opportunity] if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart, as when they provoked Me [in the rebellion in the desert at Meribah].”
