Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
2 Timothy 2:21
There comes a time in everyone’s life when they are confronted by the truth and they must decide what they value more, the truth or a lie. Jesus is the Truth and the devil is a liar. When you choose what you value, you choose your master.
Jesus said, “If you love Me, obey my commandments.”
Actions speak louder than words. Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works. The works don’t save us or make us right with God. They only reveal what is already in our hearts.
Repentance is a beautiful thing. It is a gift from God. It is the work of the Holy Spirit on our hearts. Repentance says, “You’re not acting in line with who I created you to be. Turn around. Choose life.”
In a moment, in an instant, everything can change. Our decisions matter. Our actions matter. Our words matter. There is a ripple effect through Creation for every righteous act and every wicked one. Do the right thing. You’ll sleep better at night.
If you have a pulse, if you have breath, there is hope. God’s not done with you yet. He waits until you’re dead to judge you. As long as you are alive, there is an opportunity to choose to obey God’s will. Tomorrow is not promised. All we have is today. What will you do today? Be a rebel or be a servant of God? There is freedom in surrender.
Trust, listen and obey. Trust Jesus with your life and your soul. Listen to the Holy Spirit’s still, small voice. Obey the will of your Father in Heaven. Then you will find righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
Bless the Lord, O my soul. Bless Him, all that is within me.
May the Lord God in Heaven give you a revelation of who He is and who He created you to be. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
