Be Ready To Love

By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.

John 13:35 AMP

Ambassadors of Christ represent the Kingdom in a foreign land and speak on behalf of the King at His command and by His authority. He will give you the words to say in the moment through the Holy Spirit.

How will you know they are His words? Because you will be speaking the truth in love.

How would someone know that you are a disciple of Jesus? By your doctrinal statement of faith? By your one time confession of belief in Jesus as Messiah? By your church attendance? By your political views? By your social media posts?

Or would they know because of who you are? Would they recognize you as belonging to Him by your love?

Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]

1 John 4:7‭-‬8 AMP

To know and walk with God is to love others as God does. That was Jesus’ new commandment.

I asked the Lord this morning if He could say anything to the Church at large, what would it be? You already know the answer. He said, “Be ready to love.”

Children of God, let us mature fully in Christ so that we may bear resemblance of our Father in Heaven. Be ready to love. If you love, you can’t judge. If you love, you won’t condemn. If you love, you will pray. If you love, you will bear one another’s burdens. If you love, you will be expressing God’s nature in this broken world.

We can’t fix the world, but we can love while we’re still in it.

May God’s love be the fire that ignites your soul.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:11‭-‬12 ESV
