It’s Time To Run

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Hebrews 12:1‭-‬4 NLT

It’s time to run. The race has been set before us by God. We’re running to Him. We’re running to full maturity in Christ.

Running takes endurance. Rely on the Lord’s strength not your own. He initiates your faith. He is the One who brings you to true life. He is the One who says, “Go.”

Start living by faith.

He is the One who perfects our faith. What does that mean? It means He is the One who brings us to full maturity – Christlikeness.

He is the One who does it all. We simply either cooperate with God or disobey Him.

Run to win. He already won first place. He’s waiting at the finish line for everyone to cross, with arms wide open, welcoming us all home.

It’s time to run. Leave disobedience behind. Hear God’s voice and obey it. He knows every step you need to take. Just ask, listen and receive the Lord’s instruction. You can live by faith. It’s the only way to truly live.

May God guide, provide, empower and embolden you to live the life that pleases Him. Run with Him. Run to Him. Remain in Him. Abide forever in Christ. Amen.

He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

2 Corinthians 5:15 NLT
