A Life of Prayer

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1‭-‬4 NLT

Is your life peaceful and quiet?

Is your life marked by godliness and dignity?

If you answered yes to both questions, carry on. If not, apply the truth of Scripture to your life.

What is God’s will?

How can we partner with God in making it happen?

Heavenly Father, today we pray on behalf of all the people You have created. We pray that You would help them to understand the truth and to be saved through faith in Christ. We pray that every leader and person in authority would come to know the living God and submit their decisions to His counsel. We pray for peace and harmony in our communities. We pray for an end to violence, greed and corruption. We thank You, God, for answering our prayers in Your timing. Amen.

May the Lord transform our hearts and renew our minds with the power of His Word. Amen.

But Jesus lives forever, so he serves as a priest forever. That is why he is always able to save those who come to God through him. He can do this because he always lives and intercedes for them.

Hebrews 7:24‭-‬25 GW
