Accelerating Outreach

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.

Acts of the Apostles 4:32 NLT

When it comes right down to it, there is only one Church, the Body of Christ. Are you a believer? Then you’re part of the Church, the ecclesia, the called out ones. Called out from what? Doing things the worldly way.

At the heart of being the Church is connection. First, we are connected with our heavenly Father through faith. Then, we are connected with others through love. This is no ordinary love. This is extraordinary love. It’s agape. Love that is genuinely concerned about what’s best for others. That’s the love of God.

Being the Church is about letting the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth, lead you and guide you. I was pondering different courses of action today and the Spirit clearly spoke to me, “Just do one thing. Follow Me.”

You see, when you are in a relationship with God, and you submit to His lordship in your life, He will show you the way. The abundant life is found in surrendering your selfish will to God. You still have a will, we’re not robots, but we can choose to ask God what His will is in any situation and then walk with Him in agreement.

Lately, I’ve been meeting weekly with a dear brother in Africa to equip him in Holy Spirit led disciplemaking. As we pray together, God is revealing His plan. The vision is large. The need is everpresent. Oceans separate us, but through the wonders of technology, we can meet together anytime, anywhere.

We agree that people need to be equipped for the work of ministry. We can each only reach so many people by ourselves. By training others to train others, we multiply our impact exponentially.

In partnership with fellow evangelists, we’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to help accelerate disciplemaking in Kenya. Please pray for the village of Kinango. Pastor Robert travels there weekly to minister to new believers that he’s introduced to Jesus. Just last Sunday, he taught the lesson on the baptism of the Holy Spirit from Doing What Jesus Did and people’s lives were forever changed!

If you can give, please do. If you can share this link with others, please do.

May the Lord bless you and keep you as we labor together as One Body. Amen
