God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”

You can discern what spirit is behind a person’s words simply by listening. Out of the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks.
What forces could animate a person? What spirit might be putting words on your tongue?
Listen to the words and you’ll know.
Do they bring light and life or darkness and death? Do they glorify the Lord or something lesser? Is the fruit of the Spirit’s presence evident? Is love building others up or is fear and pride tearing others down?
Let the Holy Spirit speak through you. That’s what people in the Church do.
Don’t listen to the voice of this world, the doctrines of demons or the precepts of man. They preach foolishness.
Listen to God’s word. Do what it says.
Even better? Listen to the voice of God, the Holy Spirit, and do what He says. That is the path forward for the followers of Jesus.
Learn to be led by the Holy Spirit.
