Conversations With God

Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Your natural mind cannot comprehend God’s ways.

Yet, what God wants us to understand about Him and the nature of human existence is revealed in the written word of God, AKA the Bible.

Recently, I’ve become aware that the Holy Spirit is the best Bible teacher in the universe. If you’ve been born again of the Spirit, then you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ came as a human and is the Son of God? If you can honestly say yes to that, then you’re in good company.

If you’re wondering what I do to learn more about God and His plans for us, it’s really pretty straightforward.

Here’s my morning routine before I get out of bed…

I check my Bible app to see what the verse of the day is. Then I ask God what Scripture He wants me to read. I go there and am blown away with just how perfectly it ministers to my situation or mood in that moment.

Now, when it comes to interpreting what is written, the Holy Spirit knows exactly what it means. If I don’t understand something, I just ask God to explain it to me. It’s that simple.

Now you know how to study your Bible with God as your personal tutor. Enjoy your walk with God as you get to know Him better.

Father in Heaven, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. I pray that everyone everywhere yields to Your will and obeys Your voice. Amen.

‭‭But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.

But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord — who is the Spirit — makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:14‭-‬18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
