Disciples are learners. Learners of Christ.
The Spirit of God spoke to me a few days ago. In my mind I could hear Him. He said, “Study the Word, not the world.”
Isn’t that interesting? I waste so much time observing what’s happening in the world and it’s completely irrelevant to my mission. I think the devil wants us distracted.
It’s so bad that God had to use prophecy to speak into my life. It wasn’t a rebuke. Just an encouragement to spend more time with God, studying the written Word and writing down what He shares with me. The plans I’m trying to figure out…. He has a better idea. I just need to stop what I’m doing and listen.
God’s so awesome, like why wouldn’t I want to spend all my time with Him? It makes the sense.
Anyways, God is awesome. His love for you will never fail. That’s pretty cool, eh?
My mission this year is to learn to walk with God by the leading of the Holy Spirit everyday. I just want to do God’s will. That’s it. And He’s in favor of that. In fact, He can tell me what to do if I’m available and humble enough to stop and listen and obey.
This is my journey. I’m confident I’m going in the right direction. I’ve received encouraging prophetic words from people I don’t even know that confirm it.
That’s how God works. If you’re not hearing God or ignoring Him, He will send prophets to speak on His behalf. It’s better if that doesn’t happen.
It’s better to just train your inner spiritual ears to hear. You’ll get confirmation from others on what He’s telling you. And God would never lead you to sin. He would never lead you to not act in love towards others.
You can trust God. If that’s a problem for you, confess your unbelief to God and ask Him for more faith.
You can hear God. If that’s a problem for you, there are tons of resources available. I can teach people personally in 5 minutes or less. It helps to be around people with faith. And avoid listening to the devil – whatever the world produces that doesn’t know God.
You can obey God. It may go against the will of your flesh, but that’s okay. The best part is, the more you obey, the more He talks to you. Why talk to people who ignore you, right? Plus, as you obey, your faith increases as you see God move miraculously in the lives of people around you.
God’s on your side. Are you on His?
His plans for you include you showing the radical, unconditional love of God to people in your sphere of influence. God is all about fellowship and everyone being in unity. Team Jesus. That’s the way. Let the Holy Spirit lead you and you will automatically be in unity with everyone else who is following Jesus for real.
Father in Heaven, increase our faith. Give us unshakeable faith that You are who You say You are. Give us wisdom for the road ahead and lead us and guide us by Your gracious Spirit. Teach me, Lord, to do Your will not my own. Hallelujah. Amen.
