Everything’s Going To Be Alright

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel. Instead, he must be kind to everyone. He must be a good teacher. He must be willing to suffer wrong.

He must be gentle in correcting those who oppose the Good News. Maybe God will allow them to change the way they think and act and lead them to know the truth. Then they might come back to their senses and God will free them from the devil’s snare so that they can do his will.

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24‭-‬26‬ ‭GW‬‬

Some people resist the Good News that the Kingdom of God is at hand. For those of us already in it, be patient with those who don’t get it yet.

Perhaps the best description I’ve heard of what making disciples is all about is sticking with people until they get it.

It’s spiritual parenting for lack of a better word. We want to present everyone mature and complete before the Lord.

If you’re a parent, or a pet owner, consider how you feel when your little bundle of joy makes a mess. Do you judge them and throw them out into the outer darkness? Hopefully not.

We’re all works in progress. Myself especially. I can’t keep up with the renovations God is doing in my heart. What used to be a museum of worldly pleasures has been turned into a sanctuary for the Holy Spirit.

There’s no better feeling in the world. A guy I just met this week said that he’s never felt higher than he has than being at the feet of Jesus. There’s truth there.

I tried everything this world has to offer, every form of idolatry I could possibly think of, with lots of helpful suggestions from mass media, and I’ve yet to find anything that touches the peace that’s found when you experience the grace of God. Nothing can touch it. Nothing. Nothing.

God satisfies the soul’s longing for acceptance and affirmation that we all have, perfectly. Nothing else touches it. Nothing. Nothing compares.

Truly, I say to you, whoever you are, reading this right now, enjoy your relationship with God. That’s the best thing in life and the afterlife. Everything else is temporary and not worth getting upset about.

May God bless you with perfect peace, fellowship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for eternity!

Shine, Jesus, shine in Your Body of believers. Amen.

‭‭Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
