That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.”
Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.
Joel 2:12-13 NLT
Guess what? God’s up to something big!
How do you receive it? With an open heart and an open mind.
The newness of the Lord’s work right now is astounding if I say so myself.
I was in a corporate worship gathering yesterday and the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to me, “I am pouring out My Love upon My Church.”
However, as with everything, some terms and conditions may apply. If you’re not ready to receive love, you won’t. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.
If you want to keep it all for yourself, you’ll grow bloated and stagnant. It’s meant to flow. If God gives you something, let it go. It’s meant to be used to serve others who lack what you have.
We’re all gifted uniquely as the Lord desires. What starts your heart’s fire?
I’m fueled by passion. I have a passion for compassion. That means suffering with others who are suffering. I’ve been there, I know what it’s like. It’s terrible. No one should go through it alone.
If you’ve been homeless you know what I mean.
If you’ve been abandoned, neglected, rejected or betrayed, you know what I mean.
Suffering alone is unbearable to the human soul. Why cause more suffering?
Ask God what He wants you to do. And then go do it.
We’re here to serve. Serve God by serving others. Love God by loving others. Whether they deserve it or not.
On the Cross, He said, “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Grace.
It’s for all of us.
Father in Heaven, let us be Your Love in Bodily form. Let the true Church arise. All the gifts will pass away. Love remains. Love is eternal. Major on the majors. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Lord, save us all, all who call upon the Name of the Lord. Amen.
“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants — men and women alike. And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth — blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called.”
Joel 2:28-32 NLT
