Do Whatever He Tells You

‭‭But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

John‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

All of the Bible points to Jesus as the Messiah.

Once you are given the gift of faith by God, you are born again of the Spirit.

At that point, you are no longer under the school master. The Lawgiver lives inside of you and writes His laws on your heart.

‭‭Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

John‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Once you’re in the Kingdom of God, or more correctly, the Kingdom is inside of you, your work here is finished.

There’s only one thing to do while still in the flesh suit you wear around town. Believe.

Believing and obeying are intrinsically tied together. Listening to the Holy Spirit and obeying are intrinsically tied together. They can’t be separated. But some demons claim that they can be.

‭‭And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.

John‬ ‭3:36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, truly believe, then He is Lord of your life. You’re not in charge of yourself anymore.

The Holy Spirit is.

Do whatever He tells you.

That’s obedience.

That’s walking with God.

That’s the life of faith.

Don’t outsource control of your life to any false gods, especially your own ego. Serve only the Living God. That’s my strong recommendation as a repentant sinner saved by grace alone by faith alone in Christ alone. He is my King, my Lord and my God.

Who is He to you?

You make up your own mind. Or do you?

Father in Heaven, we yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit today. Speak, Your servants are listening. Give us our daily bread. Our food is to do the will of the One who sent us. To God be the glory. Amen.

‭‭I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.

I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.

John‬ ‭5:24‬, 28-30 ‭NLT‬‬
