Alright men, listen up. We’re in a war if you haven’t noticed. And before your feet hit the floor, or you head out the door, prepare for war.
Where are you going? Don’t forget your brain bucket!
What’s that, you ask?
It’s the helmet of salvation. It’s the truth of God’s Word that protects our thoughts and attitudes. That’s where the personal battle is primarily fought.
If you lose your bearings, you’ll be feeling defeated in no time. Keep your sanity in the midst of battle by keeping the Gospel truth foremost in your mind all the time.
Protecting your thought life is the first step to leveling up to walking in peace, power and love.
Start with the truth of God’s Word. It never fails.
Remember you were bought for a price. The blood of Christ makes us right with God. His sacrifice atones for sin, not anything we do.
If you know the Gospel, you have peace. Don’t let the devil deceive you and make you throw away your birthright as a child of God.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Ephesians 6:16-17 NLT
The enemy is the accuser of the brethren. Day and night he accuses us of sin in the courts of heaven. He’s the prosecuting attorney. He uses the Law to condemn us.
Our faith in Jesus, our defense attorney, stops the lies in their tracks. Objection, Your Honor! This one belongs to Me. His debt has been paid in full and his record expunged. I saw to it Myself.
Not today, Satan! Your lies carry no weight here. Get behind me, Satan! I’ll deal with you later. Your sentencing date approaches.
Good News! We’re saved by our faith in Jesus. It’s a gift from God. His grace is all we need. Nothing more. Nothing less. You are now free to move about the country.
He pours out His grace into our lives generously because He loves us with an unfailing love. Remember that. That’s the Good News of the Kingdom of God. We’re one with the Son, now. He in us, and us in Him.
Our sins were once as crimson as scarlet. Now, where did they go? Into the sea of forgetfulness. Drowning in the love of God.
What sin? What failure? What disgrace? What shame?
We’re never the same in the light of His glory and grace. Receive the Kingdom He prepared for you to inherit.
Face to face, we fight the enemy. He shows up everywhere, everyday. He uses people all around us to try to derail us.
This is a spiritual battle. Love the person. Confront the spirit. Speak the truth in love. That’s how the battle for our hearts is won.
From a Father to a Son to everyone, love abides in the Kingdom of God, where we put on Christ everyday as a way of living.
How do you win the war? Listen to your boss, the Holy Spirit of God. He knows how to lead the army of God. He came straight from the Throne Room with orders from HQ. We download them down on our knees in prayer.
Take your stand.
Father in Heaven, renew our minds with Your Word. Renew our attitudes with the Truth. Fill our hearts with Your desires for us. Give us the grace to enjoy the walk of faith. In the mighty Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
