Freedom In Christ

‭‭My dear children, I’m writing this to you so that you will not sin. Yet, if anyone does sin, we have Jesus Christ, who has God’s full approval. He speaks on our behalf when we come into the presence of the Father. He is the payment for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:1-2 GW‬‬

Do you believe in Jesus? Do you have the gift of the Holy Spirit? If so, then you don’t have to sin anymore. Jesus defeated the power of sin and death on our behalf. That was kind of Him.

Don’t believe the lie that sin is your master.

Christ is your Master, if you belong to Him.

When we bow down and worship anything other than God Almighty, we are committing idolatry, a fancy word for worshipping false gods. False gods have no power to save, only enslave. Christ sets us free.

Ask God now to search your heart and see if there is anything in it that grieves His heart.

What did God share with you? He told me that my false god is being enslaved to man made ideas instead of trusting in Him fully.

Let’s address things as they come up. That sounds like wisdom to me. Why procrastinate our healing and deliverance?

Father God, I confess as sin that I have trusted in man made ideas more than You. I repent. Please forgive me and deliver me from being enslaved to sin again. I want to please You with my life, a living sacrifice, holy and pure, set apart for Your service, not my own. Give me revelation now on what it means to trust You with everything and not hold anything back in doubt, worry or fear. I know that You love me with a perfect, undying, unfailing love. Let me love You back the same way in return. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen

Well I feel better now. How about you?

Whatever is bothering you, Jesus has the answer. Go to Him first, not last. He is Lord of all.

Father in Heaven, thank You for healing me today because of Your compassion towards the creatures You created. We trust You fully today. Speak, and we will obey. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

We are sure that we know Christ if we obey his commandments.

The person who says, “I know him,” but doesn’t obey his commandments is a liar. The truth isn’t in that person.

But whoever obeys what Christ says is the kind of person in whom God’s love is perfected. That’s how we know we are in Christ.

Those who say that they live in him must live the same way he lived.
