Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
1 Timothy 1:19 NLT
Faith moves you. As you cling to Christ, He will lead you into what He is already doing.
Walking with Christ is like being a child, holding tight to your Papa’s leg as you sit on his foot, and He takes a stroll. Don’t let go of your faith in Christ, or you’ll be left behind.
Faith takes you places. Faith expresses itself through love. Our faith is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who loved us and gave His life for us and to us.
When you feel loved, you know God is moving. Love is the Presence of God because God is love. When we love one another, we are expressing the divine nature of Christ that lives within us.
Love one another. That is the daily goal of living a life of faith here on this Earth. Don’t complicate things unnecessarily.
The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
But some people have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions.
1 Timothy 1:5-6 NLT
How do you spend your time? Loving one another? Or wasting time?
Be faithful to God and His royal commandment to His royal priesthood. We are to be like God in this world. Don’t settle for less.
They say that faith can move mountains. Mountains of shame, mountains of doubt, worry and fear. Everything that is not of God will be removed from our lives as we faithfully walk with God in love with Him and loving others as God loves them.
He leads us to love. Our hearts break for the lost and disenfranchised. The religious don’t care. They just want to pretend that they’re important when they’re not. Their faith has been shipwrecked. They abandoned their first love and settled for the things of this world.
That is not your portion. Return to your first love. Return to the Savior of your souls. Repent of legalism, worldliness and disobedience.
Humble yourselves before God. And He will pick you up, dust you off, and establish you in His Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God belongs to those who obey God. Go and sin no more.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for the truth of Scripture and the conviction of sin that the Holy Spirit provides. Turn our hearts back to You. Give us ears to hear and hearts that are willing to obey You. Lead Your Church, King Jesus. Amen.
Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot— yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.
And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him — the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay.
He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked.
