Made Holy

‭‭And this is the way to have eternal life — to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.

John 17:3, 19 NLT‬‬

Who loves you?

Who makes you holy?

Who teaches you the truth?

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God is on your side. God is for you.

God is inside you, if you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We are saved through Jesus Christ by the leading of the Holy Spirit because of the love and divine, sovereign will of God the Father for us.

Relax.

Rest in the love of God.

His love percolates up in us like a wellspring of living water through dry, dusty, barren ground. Let the river flow. Don’t quench the Spirit. Open the floodgates. Break open the fountain of your deep. Quit resisting God and let His love overwhelm you, consume you and overflow out of you into this dark and desolate world devoid of God’s Spirit and God’s love.

We are agents of change. Free agents. Free radicals. Radicals of love. There is no law against love. Freely you have received, freely give. There is no lack in the Kingdom of God.

Lose your earthly agenda and follow the example of Jesus by expressing your faith through loving your neighbor as yourself.

Father in Heaven, thank You for loving us since before the world began. Thank You, Jesus, for obediently sacrificing Yourself as a sin offering to make us holy. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, transform us and sanctify us into full maturity in Christ. Now, let us love like You do. Let Your Church bring glory to Your Name, the Name above all Names, the Name at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord. To God be the glory. Amen and Amen.

‭‭For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
