Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah: “When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.”
But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.
Exodus 1:15-17 NLT
Dearly Beloved, do not commit murder. This instruction is for all believers, not just the Jews. We do not defeat evil with evil. We defeat evil with good.
I asked God when a living soul enters a human after conception and He said He wouldn’t answer that.
It’s a mystery. Only God creates life. Only God knows how to grow a single cell into a human being. Pretty miraculous if you think about it.
So let’s think about it.
Do you want to be murdered? Of course not. Love your neighbor as yourself. Loving your neighbor as yourself means not murdering your neighbor. Make sense?
This is not a political issue, it’s a moral issue.
I know this is a hot button issue for some. That’s why God wants us to live holy lives and not have sexual relations outside of marriage.
If you are led by the Spirit, He will not lead you to sin.
Sin begets more sin. Let’s quit excusing our sins as personal liberty. Instead, confess our sins. Repent of our sins. Turn to God and be forgiven, healed and delivered.
God wants to make you whole.
If you have murdered someone, ask God to forgive you. Even Moses committed murder and the Law was given to him.
God’s grace is greater than all our sin.
Don’t murder people that commit murder. If we do, everyone would soon be dead. Jesus taught that if you hate someone, you are a murderer in your heart.
I think we’re all guilty.
Lord, forgive us for the murders we’ve committed, both real and imaginary. Let us quit glorifying violence, death and sexual sin. Let us return to the Lord and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
A final thought, the world, Mystery Babylon, the spiritual Egypt (not the country), is not submitted to God, nor can it be. It is controlled by Satan.
Trying to force our views and opinions of God’s will on others is not going to work. Instead, share the Gospel and make disciples.
We each answer to God for what we do. Focus on what’s under your control and leave everything else to the grace of God to resolve with justice on Judgment Day.
Have a nice day. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
