Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Following Jesus is really simple. Believe Him. Then do what He tells you to do. That’s it. Don’t overcomplicate things unnecessarily.
The seeds of love are sown in the fruit of abiding in Christ. If you eat an apple, you will see. The seeds are in the fruit.
Everything that’s needed to replicate the fruit is in the seed. Therefore, be fruitful and multiply.
Things that are not fruitful will not multiply. Instead, they will wither and die because they are disconnected from the Source of Life, the Lord Jesus Christ.
When we abide in Christ we will produce much fruit. The fruit is for others to enjoy if they are hungry for it. You can offer someone spiritual fruit, but only they can choose to receive it.
God is love. That’s an immutable part of His divine nature. When we are obedient to God’s will, to love one another like Christ loves us, God is glorified.
When we seek to glorify ourselves we fall short. We are no longer doing God’s will. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Repent to holiness.
We all fall short daily. This is where confession of sin is vital to return to walking in harmony with the Spirit of God. God doesn’t want to punish us for our sins. That’s why He sent Jesus to take that punishment for us. Instead, He wants us to be holy as He is holy.
Holy means set apart for the Master’s use. What does the Master want you to do? Love one another.
The only way to please God is to trust God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Trusting God means obeying His commandments. His commandment is to love. Love one another. That is what it means to be the Church of God in Christ.
Trust, listen and obey.
Trust God to be the Lord of all Creation, including you.
Listen to God. Read His Word. Listen to the Holy Spirit. The two will agree in Spirit. God can lead you. Spending quality time with God is the most important activity in this life because that’s all we’ll be doing in the next.
Everything in Creation will disappear so don’t waste time pursuing earthly goals. Pursue God’s will for your life.
Obey God. His will is perfect. His plan is perfect. We love God when we obey His commandments. Again, His commandment is to love. Love Him above all else and love one another like He loves us.
Simple, right?
Father, we give You the glory only You deserve. Forgive us for getting discouraged and distracted by looking at temporary things instead of You for our identity. Help us to live from our true identity, being children of God. Help us to be faithful witnesses of Your work in our lives and to tell others of all the wonderful things You do everyday. We give You all the glory. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
