For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NLT
When I think about all the problems in the world, they can all be traced back to one of two things: the lack of a loving home or willful disobedience to the leading of the Lord.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Let’s protect the next generation of believers from experiencing all the insanity that we have. Let’s raise them right. Let’s teach them the truth and model a real relationship with the Lord.
I’m called to share Jesus with people. If you’re a believer, you get to do that too. I think we overcomplicate it sometimes. Start with the easy part, loving people.
As you love people, some will respond. Some will be repelled. Love is attractive to people that desire love. Love opens the door to deeper conversation.
Sometimes, with good intentions, we’re too zealous to perform for God instead of walk with God. Be zealous to be led by the Spirit. He will show you what to do and tell you what to say.
If you don’t know what to say, start asking questions.
Did you know that God loves you? Did you know that God wants to give you eternal life?
Eternal life is eternal love. Eternal life is eternal joy. Eternal life is eternal peace.
Do any of those sound desirable to you? They’re freely available to everyone. All you have to do is believe.
Do you want to believe? Do you want more faith? Again, it’s freely available. All you have to do is ask.
Allow me to demonstrate and then repeat after me.
Father in Heaven, I want to know You. Reveal Jesus Christ as Lord to my heart right now. Fill me and baptize me with the Holy Spirit. I want to be completely conformed to the image and likeness of God. Make it so God. All these requests I submit to You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
