The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

Let us live in the light, as God is in the light.
There was a time when we walked in darkness. Deep was the darkness. So deep in fact that we didn’t know or understand how much God the Father loved us. We didn’t understand because we had not seen it nor heard about it.
That is no longer the case.
A Light has risen. The Light conquers the darkness and darkness flees from the Light.
Live in the light. God is Light. In Him, the darkness flees. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Embrace the devil, and he’ll bring his minions to join you.
Sin is an open door for Satan to establish a foothold in your life. Willful sin allows for a stronghold to be established. Sometimes, we get so deep in our mess that we need outside intervention to set us free from demonic oppression.
The Light overcomes the darkness and the darkness cannot win. To be set free, and hold the territory, a few things need to happen.
First, repentance. Turning from sin and turning to God. Confession of sin takes place. Confession is agreeing with God’s way of seeing things. I confess Jesus Christ is Lord, and when I operate in the flesh, I am sinning against God.
Second, deliverance. Cast out the demons in the Name of Jesus. Cancel their assignment and nullify their legal ground by pleading the blood of Jesus which covers all our sins. Come out in Jesus’ Name!
Third, be filled with God. If something is removed, fill up that empty space. Invite the Holy Spirit to take up residence in your spirit, soul and body. Holy Spirit, fill me until I overflow!
Finally, discipleship. Discipline builds strength. Do not despise the discipline of the Lord. It builds strength upon strength. If you quit exercising physically, your muscles will atrophy. If you quit learning, your mind will wither. If you quit feeding on God’s Word, your spiritual strength will soon evaporate like water on pavement in the hot sun. Continue to exercise your faith and you will grow strong in the Lord.
Friends don’t let friends die alone on the battlefield of life. Use the buddy system. Be the family of God. Look after each other and phone a friend for daily encouragement and prayer.
This life is short. You will suffer trials and tribulation but a Light has risen from the grave. Jesus cannot die. He has given you His Spirit. You have eternal life. Walk in freedom and proclaim His Name and set the captives free. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
Father in Heaven, fill us with Your Love and Your Light today and for eternity. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
