Don’t put out the Spirit’s fire.
1 Thessalonians 5:19 GW
The Spirit of the Lord is living and active. The Spirit of God is leading the Church into revival. This year, the fire of God is purifying His Bride.
Don’t put out the Spirit’s fire. Jump in, head first.
Do not despise prophecies.
I Thessalonians 5:20 NKJV
The way forward is being led by the Spirit. All day, everyday. Impossible, you say? Of course it is, in our own strength and wisdom. But with God, nothing is impossible.
We need to redefine what it means to be a disciple. A disciple follows Jesus and is led by the Holy Spirit to do what God wills.
We need to redeem what it means to make disciples. A disciple maker loves people like Jesus loves people. They teach them how to obey Christ.
We need to understand what the Church is. The Church is the Body of Christ with only One Head, Jesus Christ, Himself, leading His Bride to do the will of the Father by the Spirit’s leading.
Listen to the Spirit of God.
Never stop praying.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT
Prayer is a conversation with God. Fellowship is a conversation with people. We have fellowship with God and other believers. Church is not a one way broadcast. It’s a dialogue among brethren. It’s a community bonded by faith and love.
We preach to the unbeliever. We encourage and strengthen one another. It’s all hands on deck time. Get in the game. The game of eternal life. We already won. Take your victory lap.
Father in Heaven, baptize us in the Holy Spirit and fire in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
