There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
John 14:2 NLT
Jesus is preparing a place for you in the glorified Body of Christ.
Jesus is the firstborn of the dead. That means there will be many more who are resurrected to eternal life who inherit glorified bodies which do not decay nor die. That’s a good thing!
How did Jesus get His? He did not love His own life unto death. He walked in perfect obedience to the Father’s will.
When Moses built the Tabernacle, He did exactly as the Lord told him to do. His obedience paved the way for hosting the Presence of the Lord in an earthly Tabernacle.
Now, we know that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the first. Jesus is the last. We are in Jesus when we obey God’s commandments. We are not clothed in Christ when we disobey God’s will. It’s not a question of salvation, it’s a matter of abiding in the love of God, which is the most important commandment.
When we sin, we break fellowship with God. What fellowship does light have with darkness?
When we confess our sins, we are restored to fellowship with God. Repent and confess, repeat as needed.
God is preparing a place. First, inside of you. Then, all around you. Walk in fellowship with God and you never have to leave His Presence. Hope endures in the unfailing love and faithfulness of Christ.
Be good to each other. In Jesus Name I pray.
Lord God in Heaven, thank You for saving us. Thank You for sanctifying us. Make us a people worthy of Your Presence. Remove the stain of sin from our hearts, minds and bodies. Refresh us with Your Holy Spirit. Abide in us, God, as we abide in You, through our heartfelt love, devotion, and obedience of Your spoken Word to us. Live in us today. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.
