Jesus was conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. God is His Father. The Holy Spirit is His Father. The Father and the Holy Spirit are One.
“For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:24 NLT
Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? If so, then the Spirit of God lives inside of you!
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
John 3:3 NLT
If you believe, if God has given you faith, if the spiritual blindness has been removed, then you will see the Kingdom of God! You can’t see it with your natural eyes, but you can discern it with your spiritual senses.
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.”
John 3:5-6 NLT
Like produces like. Humans give birth to more humans. The Holy Spirit gives birth to more children of God.
Repent, be baptized and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Turn your back on your old life. Publicly declare your faith in Christ and be washed clean of all your sin, forgiven and covered by the blood of Jesus.
Get baptized again, this time not in earthly water, but in the Spirit. Be completely immersed in your new nature. Be immersed in Christ until every fiber of your being is permanently changed.
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 NLT
Our flesh nature is crucified with Christ. Therefore, crucify the deeds of the flesh. That’s not who you are anymore. The flesh lives, but it is no longer your master.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Galatians 5:16 NLT
You’ve entered into new life. Don’t you believe?
The enemy and the flesh want you to forget all the promises of God for those who believe. Don’t listen to them. They’ll only lead you astray.
Listen to the Holy Spirit. He will only tell you what the Father is saying. Only you can decide for yourself if you will obey God and do the works of Jesus.
Repeat after me.
I am alive. I am alive in Christ. And Christ is alive in me. To God be the glory. Amen.
Now, go out there and be fruitful, with the fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life! Let love, joy and peace be the defining characteristics of your remaining time here on this planet. Let your patience, kindness and goodness be known to all. Let others enjoy your newfound faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against being exactly like Jesus.
Father in Heaven, let Your will be done in my life today and everyday. Fill me with Your Spirit. Lead me by Your Spirit. Give me ears to hear and a heart that is eager to obey You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
