Followers of Jesus are given the privilege of being ambassadors of Christ. We represent the Kingdom of God here on Earth just as Christ Jesus did during His earthly ministry.
We glorify God by preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, casting out demons and making disciples, all in the Name of Jesus.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:17 NLT
Life is all about Jesus because Jesus is the originator of all life and the Lord of all. When we surrender all to Him, He gives us everything we need, and more, so that we can be generous to those in need.
Ask, and you shall receive.
We’re asking God to do the miraculous because we love people and seek to glorify God, not ourselves.
What are you praying for? Who are you praying for?
Here are some suggestions.
Pray for the lost. Someone needs to share the Good News with them and liberate them from the kingdom of darkness. Pray that more workers be sent out into the Lord’s harvest.
Pray for the lukewarm. Pray that God would deliver them of double mindedness. We cannot serve two masters. We cannot love God and the things of this world. Pray that the Lord brings them back to complete devotion to the Savior of our souls.
Pray for the persecuted Church. People are laying down their lives everyday so that the enemies of God’s grace may come to their senses and inherit eternal life. Pray that they patiently endure.
Pray for your family, your friends, the people you fellowship with. We all need encouragement to stay in the race. Let us run well, with our eyes on the prize. Turbulent times are ahead. Let our faith never waver. Our hope is in heaven. The whole world will be destroyed by fire. Let’s remember why we’re here. Focus on what’s essential, walking with Jesus. Pray that the people you walk with are led by the Holy Spirit to do God’s will.
Pray for me. Pray that the Lord gives me boldness to preach His Word and demonstrate the Kingdom wherever He sends me.
Pray for yourself. Pray that God leads you every minute of every day to be Christ’s ambassador in a world of sin. We may not save everybody, but to the drowning ones that you rescue, it means the world to them that somebody stopped what they were doing and laid down their life to share the love of God with them in word and in deed. To God be the glory! Amen.
Father in Heaven, forgive us for getting distracted by worldly things. Let our hearts be fully devoted to our Creator. Create in us the desire to fellowship with You continuously. Let us pray without ceasing. May our prayers be according to Your will so that we may receive what we ask for in faith. Give us wisdom. Give us unshakeable faith. Give us discernment. Give us partners to walk this road of eternal life with. Never leave us. Never forsake us. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
