Never Alone

‭No, I will not abandon you as orphans — I will come to you.

John 14:18 NLT‬

Before He was crucified, Jesus promised His disciples, His faithful followers who obeyed Him, that He would never abandon them, that He would come back to them.

In fact, He was setting the stage for the understanding that He would be in them once He ascended to Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit in His place to continue His ministry here on Earth.

King David was a man just like us, a man after God’s own heart. He was anointed by God and understood that the anointing is the Spirit of Christ.

‭I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

Psalms 139:7 NLT‬

Joshua was a man just like us. God called Him to be a mighty warrior destined for salvation. If God has revealed Jesus as Lord to your heart, that means He chose you from before the world began to be adopted as His own child.

God is a Good Father. He provides for, protects and teaches His children the Way. He shows us the way. He leads the way. He holds the Door open for any who wish to follow in His footsteps.

Christ is the One who purchased our freedom. Flee from idolatry and walk with Him forever into eternal life.

‭And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8 NASB2020‬

God is with you. God is inside of you, if you have the Holy Spirit. You don’t have to worry anymore. You don’t have to be afraid. I will never leave you nor forsake you, says the Lord. This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

‭“I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

John 14:27 NLT‬

You are never alone. God is with you in everything. God is providing everything you need. Be content with what you have and share with those in need.

Father, help us to be grateful for what we have and thankful for what we don’t have. Give us everything we need and nothing we don’t. Help us to see with eyes of understanding what You are doing. Help us to hear and recognize Your voice so that we may joyfully obey Your every word of instruction and bring glory to Your Name. Amen.

‭Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
