When you come to that place where you realize that you don’t know what your next step of faith is, there is one thing that I have found that helps: worship the Lord.
When we worship God, it puts our focus back where it needs to be, on God.
When we’re focused on God, we are better able to hear from Him.
Life is like being in a noisy restaurant. There are conversations going on all around you, but none of them are relevant except for the one at your table. If you’re looking around the restaurant, taking it all in, you’ll miss what’s sitting right in front of your face.
Pay attention to the One who has the best intentions for you. Listen to God, because He loves you more than anyone else in all of Creation. Trust God, because He knows more than anyone else in all of Creation.
For best results in all things, obey God, because He is Lord over all Creation. He’s in charge, not us.
Focus on the basics.
Focus on your walk with God.
What do you do while you wait? Worship the Lord. He’ll give you the answers you need in time. Right now is the time to worship the One who is worthy of all our praise.
Lord God in Heaven, we worship You with our lives. Let our hearts always be wholly devoted to You. Let our mouths always sing Your praises. Keep our eyes focused on You and what You’re doing. Amen.
O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.
