Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6 NASB2020
How many content creators are content?
How many of us are content with what we have?
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:6-10 NLT
Contentment comes from knowing God as Father.
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
John 14:8 NLT
Jesus reveals the Father’s heart to us. He is love unfailing. He provides a way where there is no way. The life of abundance — spiritual, not material — is freely given from God.
We can be content when we rest in God’s love for us.
When we are content, the content we create is a blessing to others and not a curse.
Practice discernment about what content you consume. If the Spirit of God is not the animating force behind it, will it be profitable to your soul and not just profitable to someone else’s pocketbook? I think not.
Be fruitful and multiply God honoring content. The world is all connected. However, most of the voices are shouting out the devil’s agenda. Use wisdom.
Father in Heaven, we thank You that Your Spirit satisfies all the desires of our souls. Let us rest in You, today. Let us be content with what we have and share with those in need. Amen.
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.
