God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9 NASB2020
If I were to ask you who a disciple of Jesus is, what would you say?
The way we envision who a disciple is determines the way we try to build them up.
A disciple of Jesus follows Jesus.
How do we do that?
We walk towards the Son. He is leading the Way, and we walk towards Him. We take that next step of faith, day by day.
Jesus is Perfect. He lives in glory. We approach Him by faith, in faith. As we walk towards Him, our flesh is crucified daily and we become more and more like Him.
Even a blind man can do it. You don’t need to see Him with your physical eyes to feel His Presence. You sense the warmth radiating from Him. That warmth you feel? It’s called Love. God is love. Where is love leading you? Go that direction.
What’s your next step of faith?
Ask God. He lives inside of you. He’s all around you. He is everywhere, in everything. He won’t lead you astray.
Be My child, says the Lord, and I will show you the things that must come. Before they happen, you will know. Become My child, says the Lord, and I will save you from the wrath to come.
Father in Heaven, have mercy on our souls. Forgive us of our sins, as we forgive others. Erase the charges against us as we forgive those who have not walked in fellowship with You, either. Fill our hearts with Your Love, Your Grace, Your Peace. Fill us with You, O God. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and never depart from us. Fan into flame our love and devotion to You. Lead us, Lord Jesus, to do Our Father’s will here on Earth. Let Your Kingdom come to our hearts. Amen.
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
