For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:30 NASB
Walking with Christ just feels right.
It’s like you’re working hand in glove with the Lord. He’s the hand and you’re the glove. Whatever He leads you to do, people will feel the love. That’s what it’s like to be yoked with Christ.
Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us].
1 Corinthians 16:14 AMP
When you’re following the lead of the Holy Spirit, everything you do will be done in love and everything you say will be full of God’s truth.
On the other hand, if you’re not walking in love, then you’re missing the mark, because God is love. If you’re not speaking the truth in love, then you’re falling short of God’s glorious standard.
Clearly, we can see that we all fall short. That’s no reason to despair. It’s all the more reason to confess our sins and forgive those who sin against us.
God’s not holding our faults against us. He’s redeeming us. Get back up, dust yourself off and yoke yourself to Christ once more. Be led by the Holy Spirit to the glory of God!
We’re all human. We all need a Savior. One has already been provided. His Name is Jesus. He is the Lord.
Have faith that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins and the sins of the entire world. Now, receive mercy and extend grace. Be like Jesus. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and forgive people.
Don’t suffer from living with bitterness in your heart. Unforgiveness is like emotional cancer. It drains you of life and grows uncontrollably to kill the love in your heart. It’s easy to spot in others, but we need to do a heart check on the one whose actions we’re responsible for—ourselves.
Remember the example the Lord gave us to follow. Up until His death on the Cross, Jesus was forgiving people.
When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
Luke 23:33-34 NLT
When we die to ourselves, we nail our carnal desires to the Cross. This includes our desire for vengeance. We entrust our mortal lives into the hands of God. It is no longer we who live, it’s the Christ in us, the hope of glory.
Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!”
And with those words he breathed his last.
Luke 23:46 NLT
Father in Heaven, we thank You for the blood of Jesus which covers all our sins. We thank You for forgiving us and making us new again. We thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit and adopting us into Your eternal family by grace. Give us the grace to forgive everyone who has ever sinned against us, is sinning against us or will sin against us in the future. Make us One holy People who walk with You daily, yoked to our Savior, fellowshipping in the Holy Spirit with one another. Let everything we say and do be done in love to the glory of Your Name, in the Name of Christ, we pray. Amen.
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 20:21-23 NLT
