Aim For Harmony

‭For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.

So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.

Romans 14:17-19 NLT‬

The Kingdom of God is not about keeping a bunch of rules about what we eat or drink or when we gather together.

The Kingdom of God is about living a life — a life in the Holy Spirit — marked with the fruit of abiding in the Spirit.

If you serve Christ by living in fellowship with Him and walking in agreement with His will, you will please God.

We don’t please God by trying to live a law, or rules and regulations, based life. Christ died and rose again to free us from the Law. There’s a New Covenant now. There’s a new way of life now.

For whatever reason, some people still try to teach that you have to follow the rules instead of follow Christ. Just do what the Holy Spirit of God leads you to do in love and you’ll be just fine. Don’t let religious spirits condemn you. They’re liars.

Think about this: What is the devil’s role? What is the enemy’s strategy? To kill, steal and destroy. To accuse the brethren day and night. To lie and deceive. To tempt people to disobey God.

When we engage in those activities, we are partnering with the evil one. Repent!

What is Christ’s role? What is God’s strategy? To set the captives free. To forgive sin. To heal the sick. Raise the dead. Cast out demons. Preach the truth. Seek out and save the lost. To bless those who curse you. To build one another up in the most holy faith.

Christ is our redeemer. When we partner with Him, we reap a mighty harvest. Walk with Christ and you will never be condemned.

There are some, who are deceived, that think it’s their job to criticize others. They’re a bad example. It’s spreading like gangrene on social media platforms. God didn’t give us the ministry of condemnation. He gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Aim for harmony. Be a peacemaker. Live and let live. The Holy Spirit is the One who convicts the world of sin. Just do your little part, abiding in Christ, and trust that God will take care of the rest, too.

Lord God in Heaven, have mercy on us. Silence the voice of the enemy in the Church. Let us turn a deaf ear to the accuser of the brethren. Let us not judge one another based on our own convictions instead of relying on the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Let us live holy lives. Let us speak the truth in love. Let us be deceived by the enemy no longer. Let Jesus be the Lord of all, especially the Church of believers. Amen.
