But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NET
Where do you run when times are hard? Who do you call when the going gets tough? Who has your back no matter what?
There you will find the love of God.
As she approached the man of God at Mount Carmel, Elisha saw her in the distance. He said to Gehazi, “Look, the woman from Shunem is coming. Run out to meet her and ask her, ‘Is everything all right with you, your husband, and your child?’”
“Yes,” the woman told Gehazi, “everything is fine.”
But when she came to the man of God at the mountain, she fell to the ground before him and caught hold of his feet. Gehazi began to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone. She is deeply troubled, but the Lord has not told me what it is.”
2 Kings 4:25-27 NLT
We all need a safe space to be ourselves, to be vulnerable and transparent, without fear of judgment or rejection. We need others who are filled with the love and grace of God when we are weak, hurting or struggling.
We are no stronger than the weakest among us. Look after one another. Reach out and check on your friends, your neighbors, your family.
Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble.
1 John 2:10 NLT
There’s grace in the love of God. God’s love does not require us to be perfect to receive it. So let’s not be stingy with our love. There’s grace for all of us, extend it to others.
God is Love. It’s an immutable part of His nature. We are God’s children by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.
His grace is enough to save us. Nothing needs to be added to it. Jesus plus nothing. His grace is sufficient.
If you’re adding something besides faith in Jesus to your recipe for salvation, you’re committing spiritual adultery. You’re doctoring the formula and that’s where false gospels come from.
Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ and that He died and rose again to set humanity free from the penalty and power of sin? If so, then you will be saved. Keep walking in the light.
Salvation belongs to the Lord. He chooses us before we choose to respond to Him. He seeks after us to restore us and redeem us from worldly living.
If you’ve had faith in your life but walked away from the loving fellowship of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t despair. He is always willing to forgive. His heart is for reconciliation.
Simply confess your sins to Him. He will forgive you. Find a safe person, a fellow believer who loves like Jesus does. Walk with them until you’re strong again. Then, pass the blessing along. Make disciples who love one another.
His grace is enough. He will do the work as we reach out and touch someone. Let God come alive in you and through you today!
Father, let us be Your hands and feet, Your lips and Your love in this dark and lonely world. Help us to look beyond our own concerns and be concerned for the well-being of our peers. Let us be Your Love in this place, forever giving You the glory. Thank You for saving us. Thank You for the blood of Jesus which cleanses us from all our sins. Let us accept one another as Christ has accepted us. Use us for Your purpose and Your glory, in the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
