This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.”
Jeremiah 9:23 NLT
Get out of this world.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.
1 Corinthians 1:26 NLT
It’s better to do things God’s way than the alternative. What’s the alternative? The way of this fallen world, which lies under the power of the evil one.
Worldly wisdom, power and riches are all worthless when it comes to saving your soul. There is only one name by which we can be saved from the wrath of God to come, the Name of Jesus.
Call upon the Name of the Lord and you will be saved. Try it: Jesus, save me!
Once you place your faith in Jesus, you are made right with God. There is no fear of condemnation any longer. Jesus sets you free from the penalty and power of sin.
The world and everything in it will fade away. First, from your priorities. Ultimately, in reality. All that remains is Christ and His Kingdom. We are each individual members of His Body, the Church. Christ is the Head.
If you still hold worldly values, repent. Flee from idolatry. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your thoughts and attitudes. He has the power to do that.
God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.
Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 NLT
In the Kingdom of God, we value what God values. We delight in God’s unfailing love. Earlier today, the Lord told me that He loved me. He loved me even when I didn’t know that He existed.
He has that same love for everyone that He created. Let people know. Show them. Love your fellow human beings as yourself.
Father in Heaven, equip Your Church with Your heart, Your words, Your Spirit and Your mind. Let us be the hands and feet and mouthpieces of the Holy Spirit. Fill the universe with Yourself. Amen.
“But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
