Walking Like Jesus

Mark 6:12-13 NLT

Jesus made disciples.

What did His disciples do? They followed and obeyed Jesus.

What did Jesus do? He travelled around, preaching and teaching, healing the sick, casting out demons and performing miracles.

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

Matthew 4:17 NLT

Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.

News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed — he healed them all.

Matthew 4:23-24 NLT

Jesus equipped His disciples to do what He did and then sent them out.

Today, we continue the ministry of Jesus as we partner with the Holy Spirit in doing the will of our Father in Heaven.

As you step out of the boat of mundane life, God will move you with compassion to help people. Preach the Good News of the Kingdom. Pray for people. Witness God’s power as He heals people and sets them free from the demonic.

God has commissioned all believers to be His foot soldiers. Go out into all the world and invite people into the Kingdom of God.

Demonstrate the Kingdom.

Be like Jesus. Walk like Jesus. Be the power, love and wisdom of God wherever you go. Be a disciple, walking like Jesus.

Wherever he went — in villages, cities, or the countryside — they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

Mark 6:56 NLT

Father in Heaven, send more workers out into Your Harvest. Amen.
