Success Is Letting God Lead You

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5 NLT

What does success mean? How would you define it?

The world has its own idea of what success is. It consists of worldly achievements — things that can be seen, held and felt.

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT

Success in God’s eyes is doing what pleases God. God’s will is always best. Therefore, doing God’s will is the highest form of success in life. It leads to eternal life!

How do we know what God’s will is in any situation or setting?

We ask Him.

To successfully follow Jesus, you must allow yourself to be led by the Holy Spirit. Success is letting God lead you. The Holy Spirit is God and He lives inside our bodies. Therefore, we can have an ongoing, internal dialogue with God Himself throughout our waking moments. There’s no need to guess. There’s no need to reason it out. God is available to answer your questions all of the time.

Let’s rely on God’s wisdom and not our own.

Rely on Me, says the Lord, and I will guide you into the fullness of life. There’s nothing in this world worth giving your life for. Give your life to Me and you will truly experience joy and peace forevermore.

Father in Heaven, let all glory be to Your Name. May we all come to know You personally and be led by Your Spirit daily. May we abide in You forever. Amen.

He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ — which is to fulfill his own good plan.

And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ — everything in heaven and on earth.

Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
