Jesus Is Lord

Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him.

James 4:5 NLT

Church is not a building. Church is not an event or gathering on a certain day and time. The Church is people. The Church is all the time, in any and every place, in every circumstance.

How we conduct ourselves reveals the Church of the living God to a watching world. Our daily lives are our testimony. What do our lives preach? Are we faithful? Or are we actors?

Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose, “He jealously desires the Spirit whom He has made to dwell in us”?

James 4:5 NASB

I’m calling you to holiness, says the Lord.

Holiness means set apart. Set apart from what? Set apart from the world, for the Master’s use. Let’s set our hearts apart from worldly desires so that they can be wholly dedicated to the Lord. Jesus is Lord. Let’s not lift our hearts to another.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

James 4:8 NLT

It’s an honor to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s not be ashamed of the Gospel. Let’s righteously represent the Kingdom of God. Let’s be ambassadors of Christ wherever we are, whoever we’re with, no matter what’s going on in the world.

Let our hearts and our minds and our spirits be dedicated to the one true God. Let our bodies fall in line with our hearts.

Father in Heaven, transform our hearts to be just like Yours, O God. Give us hearts of love so that we can love like Jesus here in this world. Baptize us in the Holy Spirit so that we can stay the course and endure until the end. Let us be faithful to You and You alone, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We want to be where You are. Fill our hearts again with Your love. Amen.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
