Who Are You Following?

It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.

1 Corinthians 3:7 NLT

Grow to maturity. Become one with the Lord.

No one is important. Only the Lord is important.

Father, forgive us for judging as humans do, for thinking like humans think. Redeem us, O Lord, from this fallen world and its fallen ways. Keep us on the way everlasting, the way of love. Fill us again with Your Spirit. Empower us to do Your will. May we follow after Jesus and only Jesus for all of our days. In Your Name we pray. Amen.

The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

1 Corinthians 3:8 NLT

  1. Hi Dennis,

You are back, up and running, and carving a new path in the jungle. I am proud of you for continuing to plant and water. God has plans for you and is using you. Never compare. Enjoy the journey.

This just reminded me of a my last journal entries of 2024:

    24 12-12 Comparison is ridiculous

Each of us is created unique (body, soul and spirit). So, comparison, jealousy and lust to be more like others in ways we were not designed to be, is ridiculous. It only causes pain.

We gratefully persevere to grow as much as we can, yield to the Holy Spirit as much as we can, and give as much as we can give.

    Remain thankful.

Pray for others who have much and thank God for blessing them.

24 12-12 I give my backpack to Jesus

Jesus, forgive me for taking the backpack back. I give it fully to you and trust you. You have me, my wife, my boys, my writing….

24 12-23 How can life get any better than this?

I love you, God. I extoll you, honor you, thank you and praise you. I enter into your presence with joy. I bask in your presence, and respond with authority and expectation. Nothing is impossible for you, and you constantly intervene.

I live in the kingdom of Christ and miracles. How can life get any better than this?

24 12-31 Live from the inside out

Live out of your relationship with God, your spirit, and out of who you are. This is being in charge under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Outside-in, the opposite, is a surrender, a passivity, that allows for people pleasing, and for others to direct your life.

    Love you!

    Dave
