Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord.
Psalms 27:14 NASB2020
This life is full of distractions. There are many voices vying for our attention. Deceit and deception run rampant in public and private discourse.
There’s one voice that we should seek more than any other — the voice of the Lord.
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”
And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
Psalms 27:8 NLT
When we don’t know what to do, we should wait on the Lord. Are the trees in a hurry to grow up? Or do they wait for the proper season?
Now is the time to sink your roots down deep into your relationship with the Lord. He has counsel that no one else has. He has plans that no one else knows.
There is only one will that will prevail — the will of the Father. To know it, you must seek it out.
Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.
Psalms 27:11 NLT
Father in Heaven, let all the other voices go silent. Mute the madness of this world. Tune our ears to hear Your heart. We want to know You more. We want to hear Your Spirit speak clearly. Give us wisdom. Show us mercy. Lead us on the path everlasting. Let us be as children who lovingly obey their Father. Amen.
Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me!
