Don’t Be Misled

Don’t be misled — you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

Galatians 6:7 NLT

You reap what you sow.

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

Galatians 6:8 NLT

You can live to please the Spirit or you can live to please your flesh — the carnal, sinful nature.

When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 NLT

Live to please God and you will not fulfill the lusts of your flesh. Submit your soul to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and you will walk with God — doing His will from your heart.

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

Galatians 5:16 NLT

God will not be mocked. His justice will win out. Don’t be misled. Bad company corrupts good morals.

Religion that is devoid of love is not from God. Christ set us free to serve one another in love and not be enslaved by rules and regulations that are powerless to save us. Flee from idolatry.

Walk by the Spirit and experience the abundant life today.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Galatians 5:22-25 NLT

Father in Heaven, open the eyes of the blind. Help them to see what is true and where they have been misled. Help us all to walk by Your Spirit, to live lives of love and to speak only what is from You. Forgive us all of our sins. Amen.

Don’t let anyone deceive you. Associating with bad people will ruin decent people.
