Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
Romans 1:5 NLT
We tell people what God has done for them. We are messengers.
He sent a Savior. The Savior died and rose again, breaking the power of sin and death.
If we don’t know that, if we don’t believe that, we are deceived and still live in fear of death, enslaved to sin.
When we believe the truth of the Gospel, we are set free to live for God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave, giving us new life in these mortal bodies of flesh.
God has done everything. God does everything. We simply respond in faith by obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Rest easy, friends. God already provided the perfect sacrifice to satisfy the debt for all of your sins, past, present and future. It’s all covered by the blood of Jesus. Do you accept that His blood paid the price that your sins demand? Then walk in the freedom afforded by grace.
No longer are we slaves of religious duty, trying to make ourselves right in God’s eyes. He already did that. We simply need faith to believe the truth.
Prayer Points
- Thank God for the free and undeserved gift of salvation through faith in Jesus.
- Ask God to increase your faith so that you will never doubt that Jesus Christ saves you.
- Ask God to provide opportunities to share this Good News with others so that they might know the truth and be set free from living a life of sin.
Father in Heaven, thank You for saving me. Thank You for opening my eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Thank You, Jesus, for living a life of perfect obedience to the will of the Father. May we follow in Your footsteps, obeying the voice of the One whose love never fails. Amen.
For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity — the man Christ Jesus.
He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
And I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth. I’m not exaggerating — just telling the truth.
