But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Fellowship with God, both now and forever, is the eternal and abundant life that Christ freely provides us.
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:5 ESV
If we are in Christ, and Christ is in us, then we should be walking in the light. We have no obligation to continue in darkness. The True Light has come and He is the Light of men.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:4-5 ESV
Christ sets us free. The darkness cannot overcome the light. The light of Christ in us cannot be overcome by the darkness of this fallen world.
Wear the armor of light and love. Why take it off? Why expose yourself to the enemy’s onslaught of lies? The helmet of salvation protects our minds because we know that we are saved by faith in Christ, not our own effort.
Don’t believe the lie that you have to do something to earn God’s love. Don’t believe the lie that our works earn us favor with God.
Our works should be born out of obedience to God’s will. Our daily, uninterrupted fellowship with God the Father should inform our every decision.
Walk in the light. Continue practicing the truth. Let the Spirit of God in you minister to your soul. Let Him be the Savior, Healer, Redeemer and Lord of your life.
You don’t have to work yourself up to get into God’s Presence. His Presence is already inside of you. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Walking with God is a way of life. It is the life of faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Without faith, it is impossible to walk with God.
Your Father loves you. He wants to lead you. He wants you to walk with Him, everyday all day. That’s life abundant! Now is the time to walk in victory. Now is the time to walk with God.
Prayer Points
- Confess to God any sins and unbelief that you have been holding onto. Ask Him to make you clean, righteous and holy.
- Thank God for His free forgiveness of your sins.
- Ask God to fill you with His light and His love and to surround you with His peace and His Presence.
Father in Heaven, thank You for Your great love which motivated You to send Jesus to save us. Thank You for setting us free from the darkness. We pray that all the darkness in our lives and in our walks with You would disappear as we abide in Your love. Thank You for healing us and delivering us from the darkness. May our fellowship with You be constant and uninterrupted. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
